Concept Sketches

AG: The first concept sketch of a giant crocodile with a landmass on its back. I call the crocodile Tannin, named after sea monster/demon found in the Bible.

AG: Just like with the last project, there is concept involved with my drawings, with mythological reference incorporated. And this is evidence with landmass as it appears in this drawing and the three drawings that follow it.

AG: An aerial view of the previous drawing, with more background.

AG: Fourth drawing, with a different landscape on the Tannin's back.

AG: Close-up of the settlement from the previous drawing.

AG: A different landscape on a different animal, the whale or Aspidochelone. A notable feature is that the geyser blowhole has been made a sacred spot.

AG: Another drawing of the Aspidochelone.

AG: Another landscape on the whale's back.

AG: In this sketch a third option is provided, the giant octopus or Kraken. Here the octopus has an island upon is head with lots of mountains.

AG: In this sketch the Kraken appears to have some kind of fortress built on the landmass on its head.

AG: This sketch is a close-up of the fortress.

AG: Another drawing of the Tannin.

AG: A drawing of a different landscape on the back of the Tannin, featuring a ziggurat.

AG: An attempt at comparison between the crocodile, octopus, and whale.

AG: Another comparison sketch

AG: Another Kraken sketch with a very different fortress.
